About Coach Taj

I’m Taj—a divorce and financial coach with a heart for families and a steady hand for navigating life’s messier chapters. I’ve raised two kids, run two businesses, led a large youth soccer program, coached on and off the field, and homeschooled through all kinds of seasons. I’ve supported families through big changes while managing my own—and I know how much is often carried silently. This work grew out of that lived experience: navigating relationship shifts, financial stress, and parenting decisions that don’t come with easy answers. I bring that same mix of steadiness, compassion, and strategy to the families I now support. Whether you're trying to afford a separation, build a co-parenting plan, or shape a post-divorce life that actually works, I’m here to walk with you—one thoughtful step at a time. I am a member and accredited coach of the International Coaching Federation, the largest coaching accreditation body in the world. Additionally I am a CDC Certified Divorce Coach®, and a YNAB Certified Coach.

My Journey

I came to this work through lived experience—not just training or theory. I’ve parented through relationship changes, navigated financial stress, and held space for others in the thick of it. I’ve spent years coaching youth soccer, leading a large community program, and homeschooling my kids through all kinds of transitions.

Along the way, I became someone people turned to during their own uncertain seasons. Not because I had all the answers, but because I could hold complexity with care and help them move forward one step at a time.

Now, as a divorce and financial coach, I support others in doing the same. I bring a steady mix of empathy, strategy, and real-life experience to help parents make thoughtful choices, even when everything feels messy and high-stakes.

Beyond Professional Life

Outside of coaching, you’ll often find me on the soccer field—coaching, playing, or refereeing. Soccer has shaped how I show up in life: as a teammate, a leader, and someone who stays with the process, even when it’s tough.

As a parent of two teenagers, I’ve learned that my role isn’t to control their journey but to hold space for it. I think of myself as a potted plant—steady and quiet in the corner, unobtrusive but present. When one of my kids needs me, I’m already there, rooted and ready.

I’m also a strong ally and advocate for families of all kinds. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, neurodiversity-affirming, and inclusive of nontraditional family structures. Everyone deserves support that is safe and nonjudgmental—a quiet place to exhale, not one more thing to brace for.

What it's like to work with me

I coach people through one of the hardest transitions of their lives—not with a formula or a five-step plan, but with presence, patience, and practical support.

My clients come to me when everything feels tender, uncertain, or high stakes. Some are at the very beginning, still asking, “Is this really the end?” Others are mid-process, juggling paperwork, co-parenting, and financial stress. Wherever you are, we’ll start there.

If you’re overwhelmed or unsure, we slow it down. If you’re stuck, we untangle it. We talk through what’s happening and what matters most, based on your values and your needs.

Working with me means having someone who sees the whole picture—not just the legal or logistical parts, but the emotional weight of it all. Some days we’ll talk numbers and next steps. Other days we’ll talk about how to speak to your kids or how to stay centered through the next hard conversation.

I coach from both lived experience and professional perspective. I’ve been in the thick of parenting, partnership shifts, and money stress. I know what it’s like to carry the weight of big decisions and still show up for your family. That’s the energy I bring to our work together: steady, nonjudgmental, and deeply human.

Our work is thoughtful and grounded. Not perfect, not polished. Just honest, steady progress at your pace, in your way.

Together, we’ll shape a path forward that reflects your values, protects what matters most, and gives you and your children space to grow into what’s next.

I offer 1:1 coaching packages starting at $500 per month. My approach combines practical guidance with emotional support, helping you navigate both the logistical and personal aspects of divorce.
